Bill and Barbara Bock - Owners, BEI Maintenance & Repair

As landlords for many years, we experienced the problems and frustrations of trying to find competent, reliable and affordable help. We were about at our wits end, making call after call for help only to find the workers’ phone no longer working; they could do this but not that; or my personal favorite, they just didn’t bother returning the call at all! So, we sold many of our 60+ rental units because we just couldn’t keep up. Have you heard of the phrase “hindsight is 20-20”?

To meet what we saw as a need in the community, BEI Maintenance & Repair was formed in 2004. We were fortunate to know Chris Havlik, whose skill and experience made him a natural as our project manager. Our goal was to provide the kind of competent, professional service that we had been searching for ourselves. Our primary focus was to landlords because we understood the issues and concerns of rental property owners. We have served over 100 area landlords and 400 rental units, doing jobs as simple as replacing a storm door to re-plumbing a house, to a complete re-hab of their rental property.

We found early on that many landlords dislike having to make 47 phone calls just to get their property ready to rent. So we expanded our services. We will clean out your property. We can do almost everything to prepare the unit for rent. Lawn needs mowed, shrubs cut, rocks and sticks picked up, weeds cut down in the back yard? We have the equipment and employees to do it. The carpet needs replaced? We have a company that we can call on Monday and have the carpet installed by Friday. The carpet just needs cleaned? We have a reasonably priced professional carpet cleaner that will respond quickly and does excellent work. So good in fact that we use him in our own home!

Then we started expanding from our original program. We now assist Realtors that have properties that need work to prepare them for sale. We have done projects for property managers taking care of strip malls. We have gutted and replaced bathrooms in a church. We have completed major restorations in kitchens, bathrooms and basements in homes throughout the area.

We can assist you if you are a landlord, a Realtor, a property manager, or our next door neighbor (we did install a dynamite ceramic tile backsplash next door) to provide the type of work you need for your individual property. There is almost no job too small or too big for us.
